With TakeCare
Registered nurses take on responsibility early in care homes, often as shift leads or primary nurses. TakeCare knows care homes across Switzerland and tells you where teams are stable and further training is lived.
Working in this field
You accompany residents over months and years. You know what does them good.
Shift lead, primary nursing, running a residential group: good people grow fast here.
Dementia, palliative care, multiple conditions – nursing that takes judgement.
Typical roles
What a day looks like
Getting up, personal care, breakfast – at the residents' own pace.
Wound care, medication, observation – and checking in with the home's physician.
Activities, a walk, a talk with relatives: quality of life is part of care.
Care planning and RAI assessment record what someone needs – and secure the funding.
Salary
All figures in CHF gross per month, 13 monthly salaries, full-time equivalent.
In home care you visit clients at home and often work alone on the road. In a care home you work as a team in the house, with regular residents and a daily structure. Both offer predictable shifts – we are happy to discuss which way of working suits you.
Not necessarily, but in demand: many care homes assess care needs with RAI-NH. If you know it, you settle in faster – and many homes run courses on it themselves.
Yes, often. Many care homes have dedicated night staff, so day shifts are possible. Tell us what you want, we filter for it.
