Frequent questions
What does an MPA earn?
Cantonal recommendations for 2026 set entry pay at CHF 4,300–4,600 (×13; Zurich: CHF 4,600). With experience, X-ray competence or trainer roles, CHF 4,800–5,600 is realistic. As a certified coordinator (MPK) you earn CHF 500+ more per month.
Is the MPK qualification worth it?
Usually yes: the federal certificate brings CHF 500–800 more per month according to our salary bands, a team leadership role, and makes you nearly indispensable for group practices. Many practices co-fund it — we negotiate that with them for you.
Can I move from practice to hospital (or back)?
Yes. MPAs increasingly work in hospital outpatient units, emergency practices and with insurers. We show you options that value your experience instead of hiding it.
